World Leadership Day 2009

World Leadership Day is a global, grassroots initiative to inspire, connect and transform leadership thinking across generations, gender and cultures. It is a platform for new leadership to emerge and for disillusioned and burnt out leaders to reconnect with what is truly important and bring meaning, joy and passion back into their lives.

Founded and launched by Elisabeth Gortschacher, founder and director E.E.G. Coaching Pty Ltd, on 20 March 2007. The idea of establishing WLD was born during a discussion with her US publicist, Nancy Mills in September 2006.

With founding and launching World Leadership Day on 20 March 2007 in Sydney Australia, Elisabeth has stepped up the expression of her soul inspired leadership and turned her passion for authentic leadership development into a global initiative to inspire, connect and transform leadership thinking across generations, gender and cultures.

2008 saw World Leadership Day being celebrated concurrently in six countries around the world: Australia – Canada – France – Germany – Singapore and South Africa.

Now in it's third year, more and more countries are inviting themselves to become part of this inspiring initiative.

WLD 2009 - celebrated concurrently in 15 countries around the world - is a day of celebration that connects the hearts and minds of people across gender, generations and cultures in a common purpose of creating a world we want to live in – a world where we honor and respect each other and our planet. It’s a day of celebration where we put the flood-lights on personal leadership and heighten people’s awareness of the greatness and creativity that lies dormant in every person ready to be discovered.
